CAPE TOWN - Strong winds are fanning three massive fires in the Western Cape.
On Friday, blazes broke out in Stanford on the South Coast and the Du Noon informal settlement near Milnerton.
Officials have sent an evacuation notice to Stanford residents, while officials closer to Du Noon have noted that it has become too dangerous for teams to assist.
Despite this, the aid organisation Gift of the Givers is on the ground.
In Stanford, fires have been reported to be moving to the Die Kop Informal settlement and the R326.
Meanwhile, Mossel Bay on the Garden Route has been battling fires since Monday.
Strong winds in the week have resulted in flare-ups, making it hard to keep the fire under control
Nearly 2,000 hectares have been destroyed with crews remaining on high alert.
No deaths have been reported yet as authorities assess the fire damage.
