PRETORIA - Suspended Ekurhuleni HR Manager Linda Gxasheka is expected at the Madlanga Commission on Thursday.
She will testify over claims that she and legal head Kemi Behari shielded suspended Police Chief Julius Mkhwanazi from disciplinary action.
Proceedings were briefly delayed after a Crime Intelligence witness called in sick.
It's prompted commissioners to consider tougher measures on medical no-shows.
It includes subpoenaing doctors to testify.
Meanwhile, suspended Deputy Police Commissioner, Shadrack Sibiya, remains under pressure over his ties to alleged cartel figure Vuzimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.
