Tired of potholes, Sandown residents take repairs into their own hands

JOHANNESBURG - Sandown Estate residents in Sandton say they’ve grown tired of dodging potholes and waiting for repairs.

Some have decided to take matters into their own hands.

A 79-year-old resident has spent thousands repairing roads in the community.

It's sparked both praise and debate over who should be responsible for maintaining Johannesburg’s streets.
