Tony Yengeni announced as MK Party second deputy president

JOHANNESBURG - MK Party Leader Jacob Zuma has appointed Tony Yengeni as the party's Second Deputy President.

Yengeni briefly addressed the media at the briefing announcing his position and shared stories about struggle veterans during the apartheid era.

The second deputy president of the party spoke in glowing terms about former president Zuma calling him, "quiet, resourceful, reliable, and trustworthy."

On Wednesday, Zuma was ordered to pay back R28.9 million to the State Attorney. 

This sum is from state funds used to pay a private firm for legal costs incurred by Zuma during court proceedings relating to his prosecution for corruption and related offences.
