ATTERIDGEVILLE - The missing four-month-old baby girl has been found dead in Atteridgeville.
She was found buried in a shallow grave.
This was confirmed by Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi after it was reported that she had been kidnapped on Wednesday, around midday.
Nevhuhulwi said at the time, the other had gone to Hennops River near R511 road accompanied by her pastor and his wife for a ritual.
The moment which was meant to be a sacred ended with the mother allegedly being raped, tied up and left fighting to free herself while the Pastor and his wife disappeared with her baby.
The only thing left behind at the scene was the child's pink school bag and a white doek.
Nevhuhulwi said police are still searching for the 45-year-old pastor while his 24-year-old wife has since been arrested.
"She led investigators to a shallow grave where the baby’s body was found," she said.

Earlier Nevhuhulwi detailed how the mother and child were no strangers to the wife and the pastor.
In fact, they all reside in Diepsloot and had been going to the same church. She had known the couple for three years.
Detailing the events of the incident, Nevhuhulwi said, “They came here today because of the pastor and the wife. They were coming to perform a ritual. When they got here, they said the child was tired, so the pastor's wife was left with [her].
“While the pastor went into the river to perform the ritual on the victim, that's where he allegedly raped the victim, and they tied [her], and then the pastor and his wife fled the scene with the child,” she said.
The woman according to Nevhuhulwi managed to untie herself is alleged to have run to the road where she sought help from a nearby construction site.
"A private security company was activated and the police were alerted," she said.
