JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of Mboneli Vesele.
He was the bodyguard of Fort Hare Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Sakhele Buhlungu.
Vesele was shot and killed in 2023 while waiting for Buhlungu outside his home in Alice in the Eastern Cape.
Police published pictures of the hitmen last year, requesting the public's assistance.
They tracked down Bafana Chiliza and Nkosiyazi Maphumulo to Zakkariya Park in Johannesburg.
Twelve suspects have now been arrested in relation to the Fort Hare murders.
