JOHANNESBURG - Mpumalanga taxi boss Bafana Oupa Sindane’s bid to interdict the use of his WhatsApp messages at the Madlanga Commission has been struck off the roll.
Sindane approached the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Monday seeking to prevent the Commission from using the messages, which were retrieved by the Mpumalanga Organised Crime Unit.
He also claimed that appearing before the Commission could endanger his life.

The businessman was challenging the manner in which his electronic devices were handed over to the Commission’s Recommendations Task Team.
This is his second attempt to interdict proceedings at the Commission. Last week, he filed an urgent application seeking to prevent him from testifying.
