UPDATE: Case against Masemola, other cops postponed

PRETORIA - The case against suspended National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola and other co-accused officers has been postponed to 29 September.

While the other officers are charged with corruption, Masemola faces a charge of contravening the Public Finance Management Act.

The state is expected to formally rejoin Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala to the case.

The alleged crime kingpin had agreed to a plea deal but later changed his mind, making the agreement invalid.
