JOHANNESBURG - The precious stones theft case against suspended EMPD deputy chief Julius Mkhwanazi has been postponed to 18 September.
Mkhwanazi and his co-accused Witness K, Adrian Norman Mackenzie and Keisha Leigh Stols appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
They are charged with the alleged theft of precious stones worth R14 million.
The matter has been postponed to allow for the disclosure of the docket. The State says investigations have been finalised and it is ready for trial.
Mkhwanazi is accused of being the mastermind behind an alleged police raid in Killarney, to steal the stones.
