JOHANNESBURG - With Rand Water's scheduled maintenance at the Eikenhof and Zwartkopjes pump stations complete, households across Johannesburg hoped supply would be quickly restored.
But taps remain dry in many parts.
Residents say unreliable tankers and poor communication from Johannesburg Water has worsened the impact.
Rand Water says it has repaired the vandalised valves, but the woes are far from over.
Maintenance will run until late July, with low pressure in some areas to no water in others likely until early August.
