WC police launch multi-disciplinary team after weekend killings

CAPE TOWN - Police in the Western Cape have established a multi-disciplinary team. The team will be led by by serious and violent crime detectives.

This is to investigate the killing of 16 people in three separate incidences over the weekend.

Ten people were shot at a Shisanyama in Lwandle and 11 others injured on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, four men were shot dead in Khayelitsha while sitting in a car in Mthuma street on Saturday.

Two people were also shot and killed in Milnerton at the Joe Slovo informal settlement on Saturday night.

Police are urging anyone who may have information to come forward.

No arrests have been made.
