BRAKPAN, GP - Former police reservist, Wiandre Pretorius, has taken his own life.
He allegedly shot himself at a petrol station in Brakpan, Gauteng, last night - days after he survived an alleged hit in Boksburg.

A video of the suicide is already circulating on social media.
National Police Spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says Pretorius was a person of interest in the murder of Marius van der Merwe, otherwise known as Witness D.
Van der Merwe had implicated Pretorius at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Pretorius was also a suspect in the murder of Emmanuel Mbense in 2022.
