Witness A in Madlanga Commission details Katiso Molefe's 2024 arrest

CAPE TOWN - Alleged underworld boss Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe was armed when police arrested him in December.

That's according to Witness A, an organised crime investigator testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.

He says despite being armed, Molefe cooperated with police once they identified themselves and presented an arrest warrant.

Witness X says Molefe knew the arrest was in connection to the murder of whistleblower Armand Swart.

‘All he said in the instant when I handcuffed him was that, how are we linking him to the murder of Mr. Swart, because we know that he was not there,’ Witness A says.

During the operation, police found at least seven vehicles on Molefe’s property, all of which belonged to him.

Molefe also consented to the search and seizure of electronic devices.

‘Some of these documents related to Transnet and different companies. As well as applying for tenders for Transnet. There was a set of documents that belonged to the SK Group,’ Witness A testified

Molefe is accused of orchestrating the murders of Swart, DJ Sumbody and DJ Vintos.
