Emfuleni municipality struggles to provide basic services for residents

JOHANNESBURG - Emfuleni Local Municipality just seems unable to shake off its governance problems.

Service delivery remains a challenge there, but that has not stopped officials from spending over R55m on a legal dispute with an employee over unfair labour practices.

The legal fees were paid to various legal firms between 2017 and March this year.
