Ramaphosa admits Emfuleni has been under-serviced

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa admits Emfuleni has been under-serviced for a while.

But he's praising progress made in getting services to the people.

This is despite residents still struggling for the basics like water and sanitation.

Ramaphosa was visiting the municipality on Friday.

Meanwhile, the MMC of Public Works at Emfuleni Local Municipality, Tumi Mochawe, says the provision of services will be restored since the debt is being written off.

Mochawe says some of the collapsed infrastructure is also being repaired.
