Ackerman found guilty in child sex ring case

JOHANNESBURG - Gerhard Ackerman has been found guilty on several counts of rape, possession of child pornography, human trafficking and sexual assault.

High Court Judge Ismail Mahomed delivered the verdict on Monday.

Mahomed also disputed Ackerman's claims that he was unaware of the photos of child pornography found on his phone and laptop.

Mahomed has also found Ackerman guilty of the creation of child pornography and benefitting from the services of the victims.
