ActionSA's list of demands in Joburg

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Joburg will have a new mayor by next week, if ActionSA gets its way. 

The party says it is not interested in the position of mayor but that of Speaker.  

ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba spoke with eNCA on Monday.

He said, "Next week we will have an election of the speaker and the mayor. By next week you are going to have a new mayor and we don't care who as long as they give us someone credible, not Gwamanda." 

"Give us someone else, preferably from the ANC so that we can hold them to account, whoever they give us as long as he is an ethical person and you are going to have an ActionSA speaker in the City of Joburg."
