CAPE TOWN - Eleven Anti-Gang Unit members return to the Athlone magistrate's court.
They face charges of murder, assault GBH, kidnapping and torture.
The group allegedly beat to death gang member Wade Price in Manenberg earlier this month.
Other gang members were also allegedly assaulted and tortured as the unit was conducting investigations into a murder case.
The state is opposing bail.
Family and friends of Price are expected in court.
