JOHANNESBURG - Bellarmine Mugabe, son of the former Zimbabwean president Robert, and his co-accused may soon plead guilty to their charges.
They abandoned their bail application after it was revealed they were in the country illegally.
They face charges of attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice, and pointing a firearm.

Their lawyer, Sinenhlanhla Mnguni told the court the pair intended to enter a plea agreement with the state.
The duo’s legal team however, declined to say which charges they intend to plead guilty to.
The two were arrested in mid-February.
