JOHANNESBURG - The Black Entrepreneurs Alliance is mourning the passing of Gauteng National Taxi Association’s Thamsanqa Moyo.
The alliance’s Refilwe Monageng says their solidarity with the family of the slain taxi boss stems from recognising Moyo as an entrepreneur who played a crucial role in transporting millions of people every day.
The 58 was shot and killed in an ambush on the Soweto Highway in Diepkloof last week.

According to police, the attackers blocked Moyo’s vehicle before unleashing a barrage of gunfire.
The attack is believed to be linked to an ongoing taxi conflict.
Monageng while noting the importance of ensuring safety within the industry he adds that it is crucial to ensure the sustainability as it also advances.
