BLSA slams Eskom for passing old costs to new users

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom should not be allowed to pass yesterday's costs on to tomorrow's customers.

That's the view of Business Leadership SA. 

It comes after Nersa admitted to a R54-billion mistake when approving electricity price tariffs.

That cost will now be passed on to customers.

BLSA is calling for an acceleration of the transition to competitive electricity markets.
