This comes after a shocking claim emerged in his bail bid on Tuesday.
Mnisi alleges the investigating officer was pursuing his girlfriend romantically.
He says this is the reason he was arrested, claiming he wasn't with the teen on the day she was killed.
His girlfriend was expected to testify in the case but did not show up in time for the proceedings.
