CoJ confirms explosion was caused by gas

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Johannesburg officials have confirmed that Wednesday's underground explosion was indeed a gas explosion.

However, they are yet to determine the line that caused the explosion.

The city has also ruled out illegal mining and urges residents to avoid the area.

The explosion left one person dead, over 40 injured, and dozens of vehicles damaged.
