JOHANNESBURG - Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Social Development is concerned over National Treasury's new conditions regarding Sassa's 2025/26 budget.
Treasury has imposed conditions including quarterly reporting on suspended, cancelled and reviewed grants which it says will help combat fraud.

The committee also highlighted the country's deepening substance abuse crisis and inadequate funding for the Central Drug Authority.
