CAPE TOWN - It was a sombre mood in Yellowwood road in Bonteheuwel on Saturday as an infant that died by a gun was being laid to rest.
Those at the funeral say no child deserves to die like this, let alone a two-month-old baby.
There are conflicting reports of what exactly happened in their home on Friday morning.
The official version is that two men stormed the house and baby Moegsien Isaacs was struck by a single bullet. The men fled.

But other community members suggest that the little boy was a victim of gang related violence. The community policing forum is calling for residents to help fight crime.
In a separate incident, a 11-year-old Esmine Franke died after being shot in Wallacedene Kraaifontein on Tuesday. Two children she was playing with were also hit, including an eight-year-old girl, who is in hospital. It's believed the shooting was also gang-related.
