Court to rule on Mabuza's R44m pension payout

JOHANNESBURG - The Mpumalanga High Court is set to rule on a complex dispute over late former deputy president David Mabuza's R44-million pension.

The case involves competing claims from multiple individuals, including Nonhlanhla Mbisi, who claims to be Mabuza's sole legal wife and beneficiary.

Meanwhile, Emunah Silinda insists she was his customary wife since 1999.

Adding complexity to the dispute are several children also fighting to be named beneficiaries.

The court's ruling will now determine who is entitled to inherit Mabuza's estate.
