Democratic Alliance details 2025 milestones

JOHANNESBURG - As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the politics that shaped South Africa in 2025.

The DA's national spokesperson Karabo Khakhau detailed the party's highs and lows, its role in the GNU, and its priorities for next year.

"This has been a very eventful year. 2025, both in the executive and in the legislative arm of state, has been a very impactful year for the Democratic Alliance," Khakhau said.

"As far as Parliament is concerned, we have three very major milestones that we were able to achieve, one which we obviously shared with the executive."

"The first being the VAT increase and our fight against that."

She also highlighted the DA's criminal complaint against Higher Education Minister Nobuhle Nkabane over SETA administration as a political win.
