Education in crisis | Wits SRC and management locked in meeting

JOHANNESBURG - The Wits University SRC says the meeting with the university's management is crucial to deciding whether the shutdown will continue or not.

Students took to the streets this week in protest over fees, accommodation and outstanding debt.

Management has confirmed that registration has closed and that suspension letters issued to students behind the violent demonstrations will continue.
