Eskom announces Stage 6 blackouts until further notice

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom is continuing Stage 6 power cuts until further notice.

The power utility says the extension of the blackouts is caused by the further breakdown of generation units.

It says it will continue to adjust the stages depending on the level of breakdowns.

Eskom is urging the public to use electricity sparingly.
