CAPE TOWN - Four pupils from Pinelands High School in Cape Town have been suspended pending investigations into an alleged racist incident.
A video taken last week Thursday and has since gone viral on social media, shows coloured pupils appearing to bet money on the sale of black pupils held in a cage.
The Provincial Education Department says that since Monday, 24 students have been questioned about the incident.
Meanwhile, some organisations are advocating for revisions to school programs dealing with race and discrimination.
