Gigaba graft case shifts to October

JOHANNESBURG - The corruption case against former Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba was postponed to 23 October. 

This is to allow parties to further assess the matter's trial readiness.

Gigaba and his co-accused appeared before the Johannesburg High Court on Friday over corruption charges.

This allegedly happened during his tenure as Public Enterprises Minister.

His co-accused include former Transnet bosses Brian Molefe, Siyabonga Gama and Anoj Singh, as well as engineer Thamsanqa Jiyane.

The matter was moved from a magistrate’s court to the South Gauteng High Court.

Gigaba has denied any wrongdoing.
