Government withdraws Eskom PFMA exemption

JOHANNESBURG - Government has withdrawn Eskom's PFMA exemption.

The utility would have been exempted from reporting irregular expenditure for three years.

AfriForum earlier said it would be lodging an application to have Treasury's decision reverted.

It said Eskom should focus on getting its house in order instead of using tricks to better its situation.
