JOHANNESBURG - Businessman Brown Mogotsi will remain behind bars for much longer after the Gauteng High Court dismissed his urgent bail appeal.
Mogotsi faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, discharging a firearm in a public place, defeating the ends of justice, and perjury.

The National Prosecuting Authority argued that he failed to present any genuine new facts to justify reconsidering bail.
The court agreed, finding no basis to overturn the magistrate's earlier decision.
The court also ruled that Mogotsi failed to provide a verifiable residential address, reinforcing its decision to keep him in custody while his criminal case continues.
