DURBAN - An eviction at a hijacked Durban building has been called off, with authorities citing the need for reinforcements.
The sheriff of the court reportedly encountered push-back from a group of men just moments before the eviction was set to take place.
Authorities also expressed concerns about the media's presence.
The eNCA team was forced to leave the area, as the situation became increasingly dangerous.
The property was taken over from Pat Naidoo in August 2023.
His family has owned the property since the early 1990s.
