The judgment was handed down in Saldanha Bay community hall where scores gathered to hear the verdict.

Judge Nathan Erasmus says the three accused kidnapped and trafficked the little girl for purposes of exploitation.

The six-year-old went missing in Saldanha Bay in February last year and has not been found.

At the same time, many Saldanha Bay residents believe justice has been done.

The community says the whereabouts of the young girl must be known for them to find closure.

Clinical director at the Teddy Bear Clinic, Dr Shaheda Omar says Kelly Smith's detachment is alarming.
