Khumalo and co-accused fraud case postponed

JOHANNESBURG - The fraud and corruption case against Crime Intelligence boss, Dumisani Khumalo and his co-accused, has been postponed to next year.

Khumalo and several senior officials are accused of manipulating recruitment processes to appoint Brigadier Dineo Mokwele to a top post, allegedly despite her lack of policing experience.

The officials are all out on R10 000 bail and want the conditions relaxed, so they can return to work.

The state has submitted an application to take the case to the High Court.
