DURBAN - The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department says it will be cracking down on contractors who fail to fulfill their road construction and maintenance duties across the province.

It's threatening to name and shame those implicated and will decide on the action to be taken against them.
The department has been spending significantly above budget to address remedial work on cancelled projects as well as finish the projects.
But the question remains, who is responsible for dishing out the contracts in the first place?
