JOHANNESBURG - Leonard Ramatlakane has been relieved of his duties as a Board Member and Chairperson of the Passenger Rail Agency of SA.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Transport.
This follows an investigation into the misuse of one of its properties in Cape Town.
It is understood Ramatlakane made use of the property without due and proper processes being followed.
Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga has expressed her appreciation to Ramatlakane for his work and that under his watch, Prasa was able to restore a sizable number of rail services.
