PRETORIA - Former National Assembly speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula’s corruption trial resumes in the High Court in Pretoria.
The State has closed its case after calling 16 witnesses.
Now Mapisa-Nqakula's lawyers are expected to ask the court to dismiss the charges under Section 174,
arguing there is not enough evidence against her.

The former defence minister faces corruption and money laundering charges linked to alleged bribes from businesswoman Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndlovu.
She denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty.
