PRETORIA - Former National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula’s bid to have her corruption and money-laundering charges dismissed has been delayed.
Her Section 174 discharge application will now be heard at month-end.
The delay comes as the defence still awaits transcripts needed to prepare its argument.

Mapisa-Nqakula launched the application after the state closed its case last week, seeking to have the charges thrown out.
At the heart of the case are allegations that Mapisa-Nqakula solicited R4.5 million in bribes from defence contractor Nombasa Ntshondwa-Ndlovu between 2016 and 2019.
She denies corruption and money laundering charges against her and is now fighting to have the case dismissed.
