Mchunu's chief of staff: I don't feel safe

JOHANNESBURG - Senzo Mchunu's chief of staff, Cedrick Nkabinde, has expressed his willingness to testify in order to clear his name.

This after KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, told the ad-hoc committee that Nkabinde was clueless about the responsibilities associated with his role.

Nkabinde says he obtained the position based on integrity and has nothing to hide.

He says he is willing to subject himself to any investigation.

“Should the police want to get hold of me in the process of their investigation, can it be a search and seizure, it will have to be done through my lawyers,” Nkabinde said.

“Because I don't trust them, I don't feel safe and with everything that has been said, and with all desperation to link myself and the minister in any wrongdoing, I don't trust them.”
