Ministers tasked with tackling key issues: Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says he has given ministers tasks to tackle over the next year in order to better the lives of South Africans.

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa says he has given ministers tasks to tackle over the next year in order to better the lives of South Africans.

These include the crippling power cuts and the rising unemployment in the country.

Ramaphosa delivered his presidency budget vote on Tuesday.

"Over the last few weeks, the Deputy President and I have met with each of our ministers to identify specific tasks that they and their departments must focus on over the next year," Ramaphosa said.

"The tasks that each of my cabinet colleagues will focus on, taken together will respond to those issues that concern South Africans the most."
