JOHANNESBURG - MK Party Member of Parliament, David Skosana, has been suspended from Parliament.
He will play no part in Parliamentary processes from 3 August to 21 August 2026.
Skosana was found to have contravened Parliament's Code of Ethical Conduct and Disclosure of Members' Interests.
Parliament said he was found to have contravened the Code in two separate matters.
"In the first, the committee found that he had failed to properly disclose a directorship in UVO Communications in the public section of the Register of Members' Interests, despite the company being identified in the Auditor-General audit findings as a service provider," Parliament said in a statement.
"He was reprimanded in the House and fined R15 000.
"In the second matter, the committee found that Mr Skosana had verbally intimidated a Newzroom Afrika journalist following an interview conducted in Parliament. He was reprimanded in the House, suspended from parliamentary debates and committee meetings for 15 parliamentary days, and had his salary and allowances reduced for the duration of the suspension."
Meanwhile, National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams has also been suspended.
Adams will play no part in Parliamentary processes for the next 20 days.
The embattled MP has been suspended with effect from Monday, 3 August.
It's believed Parliament adopted sanctions against Adams for breaching its Code of Ethical Conduct.
Adams’ suspension has temporarily stopped him from participating in the Impeachment Committee dealing with the Phala Phala matter.
