NPO funding | Thousands of vulnerable at risk

JOHANNESBURG - More doors could soon be closing to people in desperate need.

This is after Gauteng Social Development delayed funding decisions for the new financial year.

This leaves hundreds of non-profit organisations unsure about their future.

The department has rubbished claims that it's cutting funding and told organisations not to panic. 

But salaries have not been paid and NPOs are having to close, or plan to do so, because of the lack of communication on the way forward.
