JOHANNESBURG - Gender-Based Violence activist Caroline Peter hopes that the recent arrest of Televangelist Timothy Omotoso will bring an opportunity for justice.
Omotoso is in the dock once again, this time accused of flouting immigration laws. There's still disbelief over Omotoso's acquittal on sexual offences charges.
Peters slammed Omotoso for still being in the country and preaching citing this is a slap on the face to the country battling with Gender Based Violence but also to the victims in the matter.
Welcoming the arrest Peter says this would mean he will no longer have a platform to preach.

"If we are not going to get justice for the survivors of these horrendous crimes, why is he allowed to be in our country and have these huge audiences? I can not believe that the church is still giving him a pulpit," Peters laments.
She says immigration officers should have made sure that he was deported and that it is troubling to see him have a large following despite his actions.
Omotoso was re-arrested on Saturday in East London, where he had been leading a "New Dawn" crusade.
His latest arrest comes just weeks after he was acquitted of 32 charges, including rape, human trafficking, and racketeering, in April.
