JOHANNESBURG - The head of the Gift of the Givers says the Palestinian refugees who arrived in South Africa this week had no idea this is where they were headed.
One hundred and fifty-three Palestinians landed at OR Tambo Airport on Thursday.
Most have been allowed into the country on humanitarian grounds.

Sooliman told eNCA that this is all part of an Israeli policy of ethnic cleansing, and that this is just the next step in an attempt by the Israeli government to get rid of Palestinians.
"The refugees didn’t know where they were going to . We have learned from them. They were promised a better life and each had to pay 2000 dollars taken from Gaza to Israel to an Israeli Military Base and flown by some plane to Kenya. They say they thought they were going to Indonesia, Malaysia and some other country. They had no idea they were coming to South Africa."
Investigations continue into how more than three hundred Palestinian refugees ended up coming to South Africa.
