Phalatse urges Joburg residents to pay their bills

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg Mayor, Mpho Phalatse has urged those who can, to pay rates and levies so that their services can be restored.

The mayor finally arrived in Soweto to respond to grievances over disconnected electricity in the area.

Phalatse postponed the meeting last month.

She said, ''officials are here today, please go and apply and make payments or dispute municipal accounts. If you can afford to pay, please pay the city. These monies enable us to advance service delivery programmmes"
