Police in KZN recover stolen copper worth R20m

DURBAN - Police in KwaZulu-Natal have recovered stolen copper cables worth about R20-million at a scrapyard in Queensburgh.

Police received information about illegal activities taking place at the scrapyard.

A large amount of copper, believed to have been stolen from eThekwini Municipality was discovered.

The 59-year-old scrapyard manager was arrested.

He’s expected to appear in court soon.
