The operation is part of ongoing crime-prevention efforts.

The police said no individual or grouping has the authority to instruct any person to leave the country.
In a statement, police said matters relating to immigration are governed by the laws of the republic and are dealt with through the relevant law enforcement and immigration processes.
Members of the public are urged to refrain from spreading inflammatory messages that may fuel tensions within communities.
