JOHANNESBURG - IPUSA says residents must push the President to set up a Commission into National Police Commissioner, Fannie Masemola's fitness to lead.
The union says Masemola's conduct goes beyond the dispute with Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection, Shadrack Sibiya.

"It is not only about the issue of General Sibiya, he is exposed to issues that is supposed to be dealing with in terms of the law, but he opts to do something contrary to what he is supposed to be doing. And that is why I think it is the right time for South Africans to now think of approaching the president of the country in terms of the Police Act Section 9, sub-section 1, to allow to set up a commission," explained IPUSA's Mpho Kwinika.
The union suggests that Masemola is no longer fit to lead the South African Police Services.
